Adjusting camber with stock suspension

Was just wondering, how is the front camber adjusted for those with stock suspension?

And with aftermarket suspension (ohlins in my case), is the only way to adjust the front camber via the camber plates?

Thanks

the only way to adjust the front camber with oem dampers is to use a camber bolt from eibach.
this is also a good way to alter the caber with aftermarket dampers instead of the topmount, as it puts less load on the piston of the damper.

they are available from TGM for about £15-20 ish (guess)

Appreciate the info yet again C&S. but now my prob is compounded.

The right side seems to allow for more camber than the left, which seems to not allow for enough camber :S dammint

jor i don't exactly understand what you mean, how much camber do you want, 1.5 deg for a road car is plenty and should be acheivable with bolts.

if you have bolts and topmounts and still a problem then i would suggest a serious look at your car for accident damage around the front suspension mount/tower area.

have you had it looked at by a reputable specialist?

I think the problem is that with some coilover kits the range of adjustment doesn't allow you to run little enough camber. The BC and Zeal kits I've had give you a range of adjustment of something like -2 to -5 degrees at the ride height they were set to (-35mm ish). The Ohlins kit is likely to be similar.

So if you want to run a sensible road setup you'll need to use bolts to reduce the amount of camber (ie move it closer to zero).

What are your camber settings now? I'd have thought that the SPC/Eibach bolts would give you enough adjustment to get back to -1 deg tbh.
