Flux Quoted 60% more than Greenlight. makes me sick when they really are taking the urine out of us and want to extort your hard earned cash as their huge profit!

Forum Moral of the day... Phone around :)

They tried charging me double with my renewal on the civic! Hadnt claimed, no changes. Didnt give me a reason. Just had someone un-helpful on the phone. Twice!

Told them to do one.

Adrian flux who I'm with for my other cars quoted me £350 which is good I thought but I'm old

I've phoned a few companies from the list on here over the last two weeks and they said they'd get back to me with a quote but not one has returned a call, very odd.

Only one that did was sky but unfortunately they were £460

You would have thought they'd want the business

My view is if they can't be bothered to phone back with a quote what would they be like if I needed them for a crash etc

Have you tried our scheme? ;)
I think no more than 5 modifications and no more than 10% increase in power is surely limiting your market for DC5 owners?

This is only for the online quote assumption Richie. We specialise on mods so anyone with over 5 mods, etc, just need to ring us for a quote :)

When I was about to pay they went up £100 😳

Not good from flux so ended up going with Sainsbury's for £330 in the end

I read a post on here, someone mentioned them, thought ok phoned them and they were fine

Chap who took it out with owned an evo

Only daft thing was flux ask what mods and they normally just say ok fine. My last accord tourer 8th gen had quite a bit done to it and flux just didn't seem bothered.

However with Sainsbury's they asked what bhp gain were the mods, I said how the heck do I know that? Do you want me to rolling road each mod?

We ended up stating for each mod ie air intake upto 10% gain etc

Each mod is listed with these against it

I've gone over every detail when the policy eventually came through as they only post even in these modern times of computers and email

It's only a weekend car so I'm happy with the deal but if this was my main car to be honest I'd have gone with flux as have 3 other cars with them as used them for years with no issues

Gave up with flux this year and went with green light, who matched there quote.

Reason: changed to flux last year, as they were cheaper than greenlight, Declared all my mods, using there online system, everything was sweet.

Renewal time and asked them to send me a list of declared mods, so I could check it was up to date and correct, 2 phone calls later and still no spec sheet.....they said they just have that's it's modified. At one point even questioned if I had previously told Them if it was modified. Maybe it was just a dumb ass on the phone, netherless complete incompetence on there side. God forbid if I ever had a crash with them.

Lesson learnt.

Sent my spec sheet to green light and has been attached to my actual policy, Neil on here can sort out any mods, they always seem helpful, and I know of two members first hand that haven't been shafted after a crash, because of greenlights help and advice.

Insurance is insurance but for the sake of £50/£100 against my pride and joy.

Won't be going back to the modification specialist Adrian flux lol.
