Hi guys.

My DC5 has got a red AEM fuel rail fitted to it. Its otherwise unmodified so assume its just for engine bling. I'd prefer to put a standard one on.

Is the standard one for the DC5 the same as the one for the EP3 (K20A2)? and is it easy to change?

If anyone is interested in the AEM one I'm going to be taking off let me know.

Cheers

Ben

Would you advise disconnecting the fuel pump and starting it until it stalls to relieve the pressure in the lines first? Or is that not necessary?

It is the correct way yes. Normally remove the efi fuse and start it.
But I just put a rag round it, and pop it off.
But I'm a tech, so I don't always follow the rules haha.

i personally just unscrew the fuel cap so tank pressure is down.. you gonna get a small leak just have a rag to collect fuel

you dont get much fuel out of the rail, just undo with a rag, it will be fine, it evaporates fast anyway. you could swap it in 10 mins.

just watch o rings if you pull injectors out, and put a tiny bit of engine oil on the injector seats on the rail so the o rings dont get damged

If your interested in swapping for an eom fuel rail, I'll pay the postage both ways for it.
I've ordered one of eBay for a tenner. Drop me a PM if you are interested in buying the AEM fuel rail.
