Hi,

I‘m looking for a set of wheels and I‘m not sure what is available.

I had thought Rota, but tbh they have been done to death. (I may still go this way as they are good wheels and light)

I was thinking also something along the lines of these…

I wont be getting these tho as they are TSW‘s and I‘ve heard bad things about them.

Basically, I was wondering if anyone knows any wheels that are similar to this but light?

I also like these…

Torque Drift

Importantly rota wise all the wheels I like mainly come from the drift range so would they be too wide?

I think what I want is either a dished wheel, or something where the wheel is further inset at the bolts like the wheels in the rota drift range.

Width wise I was thinking no smaller than 7.5 but not sure how wide I can go, the arches are rolled ready.

I like these also (the 10 spoke ones) volk copies

http://www.rarerims.co.uk/alloys_sub2.asp?id=26

but it says on the website that they only come in 16‘s

I‘m not prepared to pay new volk type prices (1800+) but would buy second had quite happily

Just read this back, I don‘t think I‘ve been particularly clear in what I‘m asking above…

1. Does anyone know any wheels similar to the styles above that I have not mentioned, if so what and where?
2. Are the TSW‘s any good and are they light?
3. Is the rota drift range too wide for a DC5?
4. Does anyone know where I can get any of the mentioned wheels cheap/second hand?

You will struggle to get a dish style wheel as the offset is too high to get this effect. This look if acheived on low offset wheels. Most Honda's take an offset of 45-60ET. A lot of others like Nissan and Mistsibishi jap makes are 30 ish.

1. Most expensive wheels have a cheaper copy available
Rota Torque is a copy of the Work Emotion Kai
Kei Velocity (discontinued and what I have) is a copy of the Volk CE28n
There are others too, depends on the style you like?
I would look at 5zigen, Buddyclub, Ultralite and Weds Sport wheels if you want a nice set of good quality wheels but not stupid expensive. IMHO having had Rota they look cheap as the paint is not very good quality, a second hand set resprayed could be an idea the torque and grid models would be my preference as they suit the DC5 well.
2. TSW imo are a bit Max Power, not sure about the quality and weight of them tbh.
3. They will struggle to fit due to the offset and width but mainly the offset.
4. Ebay or owners forums if your lucky to find something specific.

All Rotas are replicas of premium wheel manufacturers' designs. They're probably the best bang-for-buck wheels available which give the look of the expensive jobbies at afraction of the cost :) That said, and as redcap points out, the quality isn't as good as the actual wheels they're copies of. And he's right about the offset thing too, our cars won't allow low offset/concaved face wheels without buggering up the handling.

Maybe try here? http://www.neweraparts.com/Default.aspx?tabid=68&List=0

Enkei are a great manufacturer that won't break the bank.
