Another Big Smile For Sky Insurance

Hey all,

Finally own a DC5 now bought off Rossi from the forum today.

24 years old, 6 years NCB. Full Comp.

Had a list of insurances to call:

Adrian Flux: £2,030
A-Plan - Under 25 + and Power gap with Previous Cars compared to DC5
Keith Michaels - Under 25 and not enough experience with high powered cars.
Sky Insurance: £1,242

The under 25 thing is CRAAAAAZY! I remember back in the day I got mine when I was 24, was paying £1200 with Adrian Flux, shows you how much Premiums have gone up though! £2,030 is mental.

i phoned sky and they told me i had to be 25,

im 23 now, 6 ncb stayed with admiral £887 with mods declared

Yeah i'm only 6 months away from being 25 but I don't feel like leaving the car sitting there for 6 months lol.

I guess I pay the little extra to drive it and attend the meets

im in ellesmere port, north west, that is through a multicar though with my birds ka. it actually went up to £917 when i removed my second car. still happy with it though

When i was 24 with 6 years NCB I was paying about £800 with sky! I live in Devon and it was parked on a drive but that over £400 cheaper than your paying! That's a hell of a hike in 3 years!

Just renewed my insurance through Sky Insurance:

29yo
9 years ncb (protected)
zero convictions
zero claims
all mods declared
fully comp

Paid just less than £700

Very happy customer

Got my renewal due in a few weeks. Contacted Flux for a quote, 25 with 4 yrs NCB and 4 points. Mods declared - £1100. Hoping Sky can do something better come renewal time
