I really don't know about the Enkei wheels you mention. Like I've said before, a lot of the problem can be down to spoke design / shape. If the spoke shape is flat they can rub the calipers. If they bend / bow out then you are generally more safe. With 17's you have a better chance of the caliper clearing. The smaller the offset, the further the wheel is spaced from the hub/caliper. I'm running 40 offset 16's / 7" wide and they clear with about 3mm gap between the wheel and caliper. I'm not sure if having 7.5" width may also complicate things.

Quite a few guys on this forum have fitted 17" ROTA wheels to their Type-R's without problems. My aim was to run a smallest / lightest rim as possible. They all bought from a UK ROTA distributor (RareRims / Julian). I would email him directly and ask to be sure. http://www.rarerims.co.uk

The only other wheels I know fit are OZ Superleggara 17's with 45 offsett.

Apart from offering the wheel up, or knowing someone who has fitted successfully, you can't really tell if they can fit. Sorry I can't be more definitive.

Good luck,

Jon
