Only online instance I know of that recognizes the DC5, and with the correct 2.0 displacement on file is Elephant.

That being said, their quotes have always been at least 50% more than actually picking up the phone and speaking to a specialist...

thanks both

tried elephant and was circa £4-500, if it was 50% less then that's more reasonable

will look at admiral

Just call up the specialists mate, you'd be bonkers not too IMO. Its ok having someone recognise a DC5 on a system, but the specialists recognise the rarity of some of the mods available, and how rare these cars actually are. Id hate for it to get binned, and them give you a below average book price in return. (worst case maybe but a risk not worth taking)

If you are getting quotes of 4-500 online, then I would definitely speak to a specialist. :xyes: You will not have any trouble whatsoever.

Admiral and Elephant have the same underwriters I believe, but get insurance with those types and you'll have to pay an admin charge every time you sneeze in the cars direction.

As Jimmer says, Speak to a specialist first...like Greenlight for example, Changes to the car along with modification (within reason) can be added without hassle or extra charges.

But each to their own of course.

Yeh definitely give specialists a phone but Admrial were by far cheaper for me for the 2nd year running :)

Suppose it just depends on your age, NCB etc but this year specialists were quoting me 2k+ and Admiral were 800 inc mods for me :D

Hi Carlos

We endeavour to ring people back each time without fail! Our CEO is hot on this!

What we‘ve noticed is that when we ring people back, our call is not being answered because either the caller display on their phone shows an unknown number, or people are busy and just don‘t answer, or we can‘t connect.

If there is no contact made, please ring us back as we‘ve tried to call you without success!!!

Can you pm me your name & phone number so I can check please?

Thanks
Tim

Hi Carl
We rung you but there was no answer & no answerphone. We've sent you a text. Can you ring us when you get a moment please?
Thanks
Tim

I managed to get a call back so thanks for arranging that Tim. Unfortunately you weren't able to beat my best quote though.

Dave on the phone was friendly and informative though. However, I'll try again next year.
