Hi all

I wanted a DC5 for years but never really got round to it. Im selling my Golf GT TDI and have been offered this:

Normally I just ignore, but seeing as I have wanted one Im considering it.
Does anyone know history of this car?
What are they like running as a daily?
I currently run a 2004 Saab 2.0T convertible as a daily so used to sub 30mpg.
How do I know about millage? (I presume ring Mad motors where he got it imprted from)
What would you do if you bourght it? Just change oil and filter, plugs?
How would they be for a 6 foot 4 lad with size 15 feet but only 12 stone?
I run a 600+bhp TT as a toy so this will be a daily. Insurance is only £440 fully comp even tho only being 25 (Insureing the TT helps and being IAM)

Im reading through the forum and buying guides.

Cheers

Sheldon

Go for it you wont regret it .I waited 11 years to get a Dc5 and never looked back since the only reason im on my second DC5 is because some silly driver decided she wanted to try and park her K A in my boot. Fuel you will be able to stretch the mpg by block changing 1st gear 3rd gear and 6th and you can do around 40mpg but absolutely no vtec and 2500 limit. The only money you will spend on a dc5 is fuel ,service and upgrades they are so reliable.
