For Road or Track?

Tein is just buying the brand...

Good one is KYB, Tanabe are good for road use.

Ohlins, blistein are good for both road and track.

Eibach Pro Streets will give you the best ride quality and last the longest, . They are made to pass TUV tests and to suit european roads, they are also very reasonably priced. Call Tom at TGM but would think circa £800 fitted 01252 811972.

I had Tein HA's on mine and even on the softest of settings I found them too firm for the roads near me. I changed to Eibach springs with Stock dampers and these provide much better progress.

However the Tein quality was very good.

guys thanks! but im in hong kong!
If you are in HK, go to Yunglong Mans Auto. They can get you Ohlins for a very good price. Ohlins should be one of the best you can get. they are about $15000HKD.

But it will save you over few thousands HKD! And they dont sell fake parts. 99% of the macau race car get the parts from them

Best thing would to ask fellow HK DC5 owners. Roads are different to UK, so coilovers that would be great on UK roads would not neccesarily work on HK roads and vice versa.

Are these suitable for some descent trackday fun too. Since the seasons starting now I think I'd better get rid of those damn clunking Spoon progressives.

About time I spent some money on the tegg rather than the Mountain bike (though the new specialised Enduro is out next month.... )

Mono-Tube Best!

Mates,

Mono-Tube designs are best. There are many companies that make mono-tube design (Ohlins, Buddyclub, JIC, etc) But only one has inverted mono-tube. Because of the McPherson strut, regular "upright" designs are inferior, as latteral forces will eventually distort the piston shaft.

So in this case TEIN is the only company so far to offer an inverted mono-tube. This "inversion" is much stronger than the traditional "upright" design.

They have just release the Flex-Mono and Super Racing for DC5. Available through special order.

The Super Racing also has the variable valving design, similar to Ohlins.

If interested, drop us an email and we'd be more than glad to assist.

Cheers,
wayne
