I have red recaros, mine started to sag when I bought mine and the upper bolster had some wear to it. I purchased a sheet of the red alacantara material from capital seating and luckily for me these is a very skilled upholsterer nearby who did an amazing job, looks like new!

The material is easy to get hold of, you need an upholsterer! Easier said than done I think!

They can do the backrest edge foam bits, but you have to get the material done by them, or they can sell sheets of the material you can take to an upholsterer.

They are quoting me just now for a similar repair.

Well ive actually striped the chair down myself.. Was a bit time consuming but to be honest il glad i did as someone has bodged a repair in the past and i will have to invest in some new bolsters also

Have the upholsterer getting me a sample and hes charging half the price of captial for the material so ill see the match first but even capital said the colour match wont be exact

So yeah.. Glad i stripped it down completely

I have the same issue with my Recaro. I was just going to buy a passenger one and swap parts over.

Let us know how you get on.

Yeah well as was suggested above buying a donor seat, that's all well and good but the donor could be worse than the one I have and you don't know until you strip it down if its had a bad repair in the past.

I will let you know how it works out should hopefully get talking to him today
