Discovered one of mine has snapped today, got a replacement on order from dave, in the meantime while my car is in stands while I'm taking exhaust and wheels off I had a bash at removing the snapped link

As I'm using my socket the whole link (each half that's attached to the nut) is just turning as well, I can't see an anchorage point to hold the link steady while I turn the nut

is there a better way of doing this or do I need to cut it off?

HI,

Knock the black dog bone part of the link off then get a large set of mole grips clamp them on the ball part of it thats left in the ARB and lower arm then use a 14mm socket i think.

or

Break out the angle grinder with a 1mm cutting disc.

I hope that helps

Yeah that's what I thought too!! Though I'm not too acccurate with my angle grinder so either my dremmeling or junior hacksaw will be getting called on!!

there should be a hole for an allen key in the bolt you can use a spanner.

they are an arse so sometimes the only way is with a grinder
