Sky gave me a renewal quote of £1200, (which I laughed at) and that soon became £970.

But I was completely blown away by Tett Hamilton though who quoted me £775!! They specialise in imports and were very clear about distinguishing from DC2/DC5 from the start.

Strange to think I'd never heard of them before and that I only got their name because someone left their card on my windscreen. Turns out they are fairly local to where I work so I guess one of their staff must've drove past my car.

i was 22 when i had my dc5. 3years ncb and i paid 1200. then saw the light and got a evo fq 360 and got it for 770 now m3 and still770 i loved my dc5 but insurance is killin them.

Many thanks to all below for the tip. Never had an import before and Tim @ Tett sorted my '03 DC5 out for £547. Definitely helps to have a CAT1, loads of NCB and of course no points.

i hate insurance. you'd think getting nearer to 30 with many yrs of no claims and clean bill would help but no.......
sky have upped the rate for no good reason apart from "everything has gone up" clause
