Bit of help

When i sometimes click on a link to watch a video on various sites like

kontraband and other viewing things..
it flashes up a box saying

NPDSPLAY

cannot create directshow player


Does my head in, how do i get it to play what i want? Is it a setting somewhere on my firewall or just general browsing settings?

I believe its a component of Windows Media Play plugin.

You may want to upgrade media player or repair it.

Also scan for Spyware as some are known to cause this error

Or try to re-register Jscript.dll and Vbscript.dll

Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 jscript.dll, and then click OK.
Click OK.
Click Start, and then click Run.
In the Open box, type regsvr32 vbscript.dll, and then click OK.
Click OK.

Try the Media Player reinstall

plays pretty much all the formats..
