Maybe a silly question, but why does it give 5.1 EB in the brackets? Or is it not a metric measurement?
1024bytes=1Mb
1024Mb=1Gb
1024Gb=1Tb
1024Tb=1Pb
1024Pb=1Eb

5,188,081,873,774,968,832bytes / 1024 / 1024 / 1024 /1024 / 1024 / 1024 = 4.4999437Eb

:wink:

2000 bmps at massive res that were scanned into a word file to be put on a cd to be shipped to a client.

Had the numpty ask me why the SAN was so full and why hes file would not fit on a 700 mb cd.

Yes if you compress all the Bitmaps into JPGs and put it into a PDF.

This numpty was just scanning in and trying to burn it to a cd with nero and storing it on the SAN which was about 1TB in size at the time.

Not quite as large as the size calc error in the first post but the word doc comment was more tounge in cheek.
