Blue Tip Exhausts? - "Your baffles have gone, mate"

Ok so the rattling I'm getting at 2.5k RPM is apparently "my baffles have gone".

I've literally no idea what this means, all I was interested in was when he told me at some point I'm gonna need a new back box.

One of the reasons I bought this car was for its A-Spec 5Zigen ProRace exhaust system and now I've gotta replace it! No way can I afford to replace it like for like.

So does anyone know any cheaper blue tipped exhausts I could replace my current one with? Bit gutted really as I think it suits the look of the car absolutely perfect.

Firstly, be sure. The heat shields tend to rattle around them revs too, they're between the exhaust manifold and driveshafts.

We had the car on the ramps he had me in the car holding the revs at where it makes the noise, he then brought be back down the earth and showed me the hole that's in the inner skin of the back box :(

You can repack the exhausts. Depending on if this exhaust has rivets or spot welds on the can. A good exhaust company should beable to fix this for a miniumal price. I did my TODA myself and cost around £20

+1 with what Bally sed. Before you look to replace it take it to an exhaust specialist and see what they can do.

Find a local exhaust centre that does custom exhausts! I had the same thing with my rmo1a b pipe! I had the baffle removed and new pipe fitted in place! £130 for a new baffle fitted or £50 for a straight pipe! Dunno if this helps!

Yea exhaust specialists should be able to split the dodgy box and repack easy :) or just replace the box completely and just weld the pipes back on either end :)
