Boot lid badge removal

Hi everyone, Has anybody removed the boot lid badges INTEGRA and TYPE R, I have been told they are only held with double sided tape is this true??? :-k If so what is the best way of getting them off?? :xhelp:

Nope, but i did it to my civic before the teg and i assume its the same stuff :xlol:

Just use some heat from say a hair dryer and that should soften up the glue stuff.

I removed them from my dc5 a while ago

i think it looks better when they are off much cleaner lookin :D

I just used some tar remover to get the black stuff off it and it worked perfect

Yes I think it looks much cleaner too and easier to wax. My Honda S2000 is like that standard and I love that look just the H on the back much more of a smooth look.

Heat them up with a hairdryer to loosen up the adhesive then get some thin fishing line or similar and run along the back of the badge and car bodywork, this should bring the badge away from the bodywork, then just clean off any residual adhesive left on the boot.
