Brake Disc's and Pads = Compatibility issues?

Anyone else run in to specific problems?

Just fitted
MTec Grooved Disc's
Mintex 1144 Pad's

Problem I had is either the Pads or Disc's were too thick. Is this a common issue? I had to belt sand 2mm off each pad for them to go in the calipers. They were 12mm to start with so I was surprised to find they didn't fit. MTec claim the Disc's are OEM Honda/Brembo that have been machined? This also leads me to think maybe they aren't?

OEM pads are 14mm thick I believe, so as long as you've measured the pads properly =P, you could be right

Found the answer on this, looks like Camskill sent me pads for the 350Z (17mm) not DC5 (14mm) very annoying as I asked them before I bought them to confirm they were the correct fit for my car.

This used to be common as the 350 shares the same pad pattern, dealers just assume the thickness is the same
