broken wing mirror

forgot to fold them in and some oik pushed it forwards :evil: it has now clicked in to the right place for driving, but the folding motor does not seem to work. I guess the linkage is broken....... don't have time to investigate further right now

What was the outcome of this? Was it broken or fixable....mate has just had the same problem!!!!

Never fixed it in the end. I just pushed it back to the usable position and it seems to hold ther even on motorway.

To take it off you need to take out all the door trim there is a write up on how to do it on the internet somewhere (probably club RSX)

Ta, will let him know. He took it off without removing all the door trim, just the small triangle.....but could not see inside the mirror!!!

Ah yes, thats right i remeber now - i undid the three bolts and loosened it - however there was only about 1 inch of cable slack, so i could not do anything with it anyway.
