I had a DC2 which I fitted a AEM CAI to and it was great, fab sound but I never dared to take it out when there was some serious water about as the filter sat in the drivers side front corner at the front spoiler level.

Get a water bypass valve thing fitted but you have to cut the CAI in half and fit in between the sections. They are about £100 for the AEM ones I seem to remember.

Damn weather :!:

I'm not too bothered anyhow as i have another motor.

Even if you had the bypass if the filter gets real wet (submerged) then that moisture is still gonna end up in the engine, ok but in small amounts but this ain't gonna make the motor run right??

Apart from that i'm sure its not too good for the filter.

I know the Gruppe m has a drain hole but there is alot of water out there today, does everyone chek regularly that the drain is clear??

Drive safe in the rain chaps :!:
