castrol edge oil

Hi oilman, just wonna ask is the castrol edge 0w40 good for these k20's engines also i ve read some previous text...that u recommended 5w40,
in castrol range,they do a 5w40 but they put down as Turbo diesel :shock:
i wonda are they still the same 5w40's u were mention?or may be just the marketing purpose...
however i got a dc5 2001 64k mile, totally standard,+i m only a weekend steady driver..~100miles a week as most. +no plan for track day.

When I owned my DC5 and took it to TGM for servicing they always used Castrol Edge Sport at 10w60.

A 0w/40 will be fine. It's just slightly thinner than a 5w/40 when cold, (meaning it will pump round the engine quicker), but then only thin down to the same viscosity at running temperature. I've just switched to a 5w/40 due to consumption being a bit high on a 5w/30.
