CEL question when starting car

I've pulled a fault code that's pointing in the direction of the 02 sensor and I'm in the process of testing to see if the sensor is goosed.

This has got me thinking, why the car isn't throwing up a CEL?

Can one of you helpful gents check and let me know if on start up does your CEL light-up on your dash cheers xthumbup

I get the SRS, ABS, Oil, Battery so on.. but I don't see the CEL on my dash at all.

Also if I wanted to test this..Is there an easy way of getting the CEL to come on so I can check it does work.

Cheers for looking !

I'll have a go at taking the bulb out and having a look. Just need to workout how to remove the dash :xconfused:

I took my clocks out the other day, to remove srs bulb, but they are all built in LED's to the circuit board.

I've not got round to removing the clocks yet.

Do you reckon it would have to be pulled apart, cut out and soldered back in ?

What happened to twist and pull FFS!

That sounds a better route mate. I'd still need to sort mileage out to show mine, but saves mucking around soldering.

Take it they're in full working order? Also noticed my washer light doesn't come on now.
