cold air pipe off !!

Cant prove it but think since I went in for my service the car may have had this off & not put back on , do these have a tendancy to come of & do you think it would have made a noticeable differance to power since it has been sucking in hot air or not , going to do air box mod any way but did think it was slightly not quite as it was or may be its just my imagination .
Also do you think its worth resetting ecu when I have done the mod :?:

You can see if its there or not by opening the bonnet. and it bolts on so it wouldn't fall off.

Sorry just read your other post. guessing its the part that attatches to the box? This is quite easy to refit you will just need to take the top section of the box off to get at it.
