Coming up on system as 1.8

This keeps happening, basically will I be insured if I take the policy out with it indicating 1.8?

They take the reg and it comes up as this or a civic type r.. i have read in other places people having this problem but are people following through with it?

no you wont, the 1.8 is a dc2 and a civic is a different car

Yeah I know that, I didn't explain partially well..

Basically the dc2 comes up or the ep3 as far as I'm aware when giving the numberplate on compare the Market or over the phone to say AF, sky etc.

It is down to you to make sure the car is insured correctly, for imports , do not reply on registration numbers, more often that not they are wrong.

Trying to insure a DC5 via internet quotes is next to pointless. Ring them and explain exactly what car you're looking for a deal on, make sure they know it's a DC5 (2001+) and not a DC2 (pre 2001).
