Creaking Steering?

Hi All,

During the last week or so, the steering on the Teg has started creaking when moving slowly. Happens when at slow speed, such as when parking, etc, and is very audible.

Does anyone have any clues as to what this is, and what the prognosis might be?

Also the car pulls noticeably to the right when under power, and also when coasting. The tracking has been checked twice at TGM but all was pointing where it should. Is it possible the creaking can be related to this?

mine does this, it has TEIN springs. Wondered what it was too?

mine has only recently started to make creeking noises when steering during parking!

Nothing has been done to the car at all recently.

This is a common fault on EP3's mate so have a look on the CTR forum it might help.

Thanks for that. Seems its quite a common prob!

I've got the symptoms, but what is the actual fault? What has gone wrong/broken on the rack?

Does the DC5 share the same rack as the EP3 even though we've not got EPS?

Diff rack mate. I had this prob with my EP3 and got both front shocks replaced under warranty and it sorted it.
