Hi,
Just wondering if any people of this forum have gone this route?
I test drove a DC5 the other week, only had a few miles and didnt realy get much chance to get Vtec, altho still gives out a nice scream wasnt like my dc2.

the I-Vtec did have more pull lower down, and feels a bigger car when driving, as it is i suppose.

Is the mid range alot better in the DC5 compared?
What else will i love compared?

Sorry for all the Qs :(

Definitely alot more torque throughout the entire power band, I own a Australian DC5R (the export DC5R) and it only has the K20A2 which is the 200hp engine they use in the RSX-S. Even with that motor the engine feels more torquey than the DC2R.

You'll find the engine is a little more civilised, a little more quiet and the vtec engagement point doesn't feel as prominent than the DC2, this i think is because Honda managed to smooth the torque hole they had in the old vtec motors before vtec engagement.

Hello

I have gone this route with my wifes car,
DC2 very good car enjoyed every minute of it only sold it offerd the same money I payed for it nearly 2 years before.
I tried lots of cars but found nothing to compare to the DC2 until I drove a DC5 then I had to have one,
DC5 more modern car quieter nicer I think faster better on fuel,I think it is a good step foward over a DC2 but this is still a very good car.
