Dc5 Gear box all good ?

Gday fellow dc5 fans.

I just recently purchasd my dc5 and im slightly concerned abot the gear box , its only done 77000 ks but alrdy second gear tends to crunch slightly even though i treat it as nice as pos , it only does it on d odd ocasion but hay its still botherng me ! Is dis just how day are , is it my driving , or have a got a bad one ?

The 2nd gear 'quirk' is normal with our boxes and usually gets better when warm.

Changing the gearbox oil to Honda MTF stuff usually improves the feel.

I had this problem when i first got my DC5, the thought of using 2nd was a no no :evil: Pop down TGM who then changed the gearbox oil to Honda MTF and all is sorted. I saw the gearbox oil in before and it was sooo thick i thought it was glue :shock:

yea the MTFII looks like gluey compared to the Motul-LSD fluid, mmm which looks like blue curacao...
