Hi all,

my little brother has asked for a model of my DC5 for xmas, and i thought i would get him something decent to keep.

however, the autoart ones are like £200 on ebay and im not prepared to spend that! (even though they are awesome!)

for a budget of £50 is there any other alternative, apart from a shitty airfix type thing?

cheers

I've got an Autoart one, only 1:43 but still a cool thing to have. IIRC i paid about £20 for it.

What a nice thing to ask for for his Christmas! Can't get a bigger compliment than that!

Good luck with the hunting!

Always wanted to get one of these too but havnt because of the prices of the 1/18 models.
Those ones from HK on the eBay link look great, seems they have pretty reliable feedback too.
Guess the only thing that could put you off is the delivery dates as it may not arrive in time?!

has rob got any pictures of the mark43 ones he ordered from them?

as look close at the detail around the wing mirror here, it looks blotchy and not great, also the front grill doesnt look great either

the quality of the Ebbro looks better than the Mark43 but the paint looks a lil too sparkly!!!

the autoart in 1.43 also seems better

what sort of size are these in reality??? i cant really get my head around the scale. the 1.43 and the 1.18

The 1/18 Teg is about 9.5 inches or 24 cm, i think the 1/43 are about 3.5/4 inches they are tiny.

Just one for the guys that collect models:
May have already seen these but theres been quite a few dc5 models listed recently on eBay.
There's a couple of Ebbro 'modified' looking 1/43s for around £40-£60 and an Autoart CW with a starting bid of £149.
