Everyone is talking about Jap classics from the 80s, 90s and 00s now because most other performance cars from this era ‘has been done’ and priced out from the average enthusiast, thanks partly to the investors and the collectors after the banking crises in 2008. Classic performance cars are safer investments & less tax to pay after they have been sold lol
You just need to look at the prices of Supras. Thanks to the new shape the previous models have just shot up in value. Back in the day you could have picked up an UK TT supra for less than 5k. Don’t get me started on the prices of Corolla GTs, CRXs, Scooby P1s, Skylines, FD RX7s etc etc.
Also, thanks to JDM import rules in the USA. The US customers are finally getting their hands on the 90s Jap performances cars that over 25 years old. Increased demand in Japan so it’s inevitable our Integras are going to increase in the coming years or very least the price of importing a car. Not forgetting you don’t get much bang for your pound anymore. Integras especially the DC2, are finally getting the praise it’s always deserved by the media, great if you have one but not so if you’re looking to buy one.
