The DC5 only came with one key, where can spares be purchased from as local Honda dealerships are unable to help?
There are two methods for purchasing a spare key:
It is possible to buy a blank key from a Honda dealer and then have a local locksmith laser cut the key. Unfortunately this route is quite expensive. (Blank Key Part No.: 3511356M305, costing around 30 pounds)
Or
Use a Honda CRV or Honda Jazz blank key and do not encode the chip. This method is cheaper and these keys are readily available from a local Honda dealership.
