DC5 Starter Motor

Hi all,

My starter motor has decided it wants to make a noise when starting from cold. I will replace it.

Where is the best place to get one from? Will a EP3 or S2000 one fit?

If it's a screeching noise only in cold weather it's normal.

Yep. I had a weird no-start issue before Xmas (where intermittently it wasn‘t even clicking or trying to engage) I replaced the starter and still had the same problem.

Turned out the aftermarket immobiliser was at fault which I removed, but I couldn‘t be bothered taking it all to bits to swap the starter again hence I have it for sale.
