Dc5 taking a good few seconds to fire up when turning key

Hi
All of a sudden my Dc5 is taking its time to fire up ? Had the car 6 months now and up until last Monday when I turned the key, the car would fire up instantly now in the past week it's seems to be taking longer and longer to fire up, the car is turning over easily enough. Battery only 6 months old and is fully charged.
Going to check spark plugs this weekend
Anyone else had problems ?
Or any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated

Might just be the cold weather.. Does it smoke after it starts at all?

If I prime the car 1st then turn it over the car fires up straight away ?? It's like there is a fuel blockage ?

Try Redex in a tank of petrol. Will help clear out the fuel lines. Worked a treat for me.

Could be a partially blocked fuel filter or just a Lazy Fuel Pump.

We're is the fuel filter ? As cant see it in the engine bay? Got me some radox cheers lads

Well it turns out that my fuel pump housing had come apart so was just floating around in the fuel tank, easy fix sorted in half an hour. Happy days
