DC5 vs EP3 radiator?

Hi guys,

Got a minor leak in my radiator so going to swap it out, but my mechanic has an ep3 oem one there ready so thought i would check if that fits before I source a dc5 one?

The hoses look in same places, but Google suggests that aftermarket radiators of the same brand that ep3 ones are fraction smaller...

If it is a fraction smaller would it make a difference realistically?

Dc5 is longer than ep3 & wont fit..

Best get an aluminium one

Hmm, if ep3 one shorter could not just fabricate couple small brackets to hold it in place if hoses are same?

Not really got the time for that as car is in the garage now, hence asking if the ep3 one can fit!

too much hassle.. your have to move the space's on the bottom mounts where the radiator sits on two rubber mounts as well as the top.

i would just buy a tegiwa alu one for £150 think its a copy of the mishimoto

Sorry to hi-jack the thread slightly...

Anyone know if the OEM fans fit onto the aftermarket mishimoto rad?
Or do you need to upgrade the fans too?

im running stock fans on mishimoto radiator no problem

Also running this setup.... the fit is better than OEM too imo.

In response to the OP.... you could try it and see if he has it there and so is your car...but I expect it would be a fiddle/ move bits etc. I believe the EP3 hoses themselves are different...but im just assuming that the hose locations on the rad are the same/ similar. You might find with it being shorter in width though, that it won't fit in the locating holes at the bottom / top.

Would be easier to buy a DC5 specific .
