To me people are forgeting why this car is so great it has a red H on the front reliability. Economy and looks also its a jdm Vtec thought I'd get that in

My guess would be for the yen to strength against the pound - based on the yen recovering lost ground and maybe even the £ weakening
I'd agree with that. The £ is weak at the moment, only getting weaker. And the Yen is still recovering (slowly) from the natural disaster fallout some years ago.

The prices will only rise significantly when the availability in Japan dwindles or currency changes. Otherwise we've got a long way to go before it reaches 'classic' status.

I was quite surprised at how cheap Japanese classics can be. I absolutely love the Honda S800 and they are over 40 years old now. Yet I saw a coupe going on ebay for 12k fully restored and original. Perhaps it the convertible that's more sought after. That's the one I'd want.

Then again I saw an Impreza 22b on low mileage going for nearly 30k! Depends on demand I suppose.
