ECU Fuse problems

Hi,

My car is doing strange things, if the engine bay ECU fuse is in fuse 6, all the dash lights up and the car won't start.

If the fuse is removed completely, the lights go out and the car starts as normal but obviously dies after driving it for a few minutes. If the fuse is put back in while the car is running it doesn't blow but I cannot turn the engine off it just keeps running.

I have checked all of the earth cables and wiring loom, all seem to be fine. Car is throwing up no codes.

This problem has only happened since my crankshaft sensor failed which has since been replaced with an OEM unit.

Any ideas on where I should be looking to fix this?

Cheers

Start with your crank shaft sensor!

Can you put the old one back in?

Old one shorted out and melted so don't have it to use.

It was replaced with a OEM sensor from honda and the car starts without the ECU fuse in so I think the sensor is good.

Maybe trace the wiring back into the loom. If it’s melted there it could have melted upstream.
