EGR valve problem

Hi all, just wonda if anyone had a EGR valve replaced, or cleaned, noticed a little sluggush when on idle or sudden accelaration from low speed, just come across simula problem with my work horse( JAZZ) its the EGR ,is it same(EGR problem) on the dc5?, any advised thx

No i dont believe the DC5 has an EGR valve. There usually only there to reduce emissions.

I would Agee think they were only brought in on euro 5 or 6 emissions. Later diesels suffer with lots of problems due to cokeing up.

I had a similar issue with mine and it turned out to be the spark plugs. A lot of people forget about them when servicing as they last for extended periods but they need checked occasionally. Mine looked like they were original and the car had 60k on the clock.:blink: Made a big difference.

egr systems have been around for many many years, but arnt fitted to the dc5.

could well be a plug gap incorrect or the wrong type, they can come pre gapped but are often out of spec,
