Exhaust making a funny noise (well i think it's the exhaust)

Went out last night, it was raining very hard and alot of standing water.
When i seemed to go through the standing water i got a strange rattling noise from under the car :?
Now the only thing i can think of is the cold water hitting the hot exhaust and it contracting slightly :?
I've just fitted a stainless exhaust and before that it hasn't happened.
Haven't had a chance to look this morning as it's still chucking it down so not sure if anythings loose.
Just seemed strange it happened when going through a lot of water :?

Yeah ive heard of this before too, like a ticking/clicking/rattly noise. Alot of CTR owners have had the same problems.

This is fairly common with aftermarket exhausts mate, Nothing to worry about

DC5TU- Yes exactly that sort of noise.
Never had it on any other cars i've had aftermarket exhausts on :?

Yea me too... its like a loud droning noise with a few rattles.
