Fitting seat cover

I did a quick test fit of the capital seating cover yesterday but wondering do you need to remove the plastic seat rail trims to fit the outer edges behind?
It seems to be a bit loose and in the way of the slider if left hanging over.

I didn't remove anything, it all seemed to just sit over the top. A little baggy but I think that's just how they are.

Thats what put me off buying a set. Surely they can make a tight fit? They are a standard size after all.

The fit around the bolsters is tight once pulled into position and tucked into the joins but it's just the wrap round bit I wasn't sure about.
I'll have another go and see if it's any easier haha.
