Been on to the phone for them for about 1/2 hour due to them not being able to find a DC5 on there list..... Eventually they came with one, and after all the other spiel they decide to tell me that they cant insure me till im 25!! I queried it due to the fact of having 6yrs NCD and no points, and the fact ive insured my M3 Evo and Escort Cossie through them last year, but they still had none of it!!

What other companies can i try to get a quote from? Im 25 in 6 weeks time but have got no interest in waiting that long! My runabout XR2 wont last i dont think!!!

That sucks!

I had the same problem with Direct Line who wouldn't do my at 25. So I went to Tesco and they were ok with it????

Funny that they have changed their mind

firstly , this should be in the insurance section... :roll:

Second Tesco and a lot of other insurance companies have only just introduce this 25 year old thing to a lot of cars, thats probably why you was ok Ducky...

Mate your M3 etc wherent JAP Imports... what you have to remember is .. if you ( or someone hits you) and you end up having a rear end job .. the chances are the insurance companies will right your car off as they think it will cost to much to get the parts from Japan to repair.. they dont know that most of the parts can be sourced in Europe apart from doors, wings etc.. So for that reason they are charging us a lot of money for these cars... But count yourself lucky...

I am 36 6 years NCB or and btw doesnt matter if you have 20 yrs NCB insurance companies only use 5 yrs NCB as the maximum... well I know Tesco do and so do A Plan.. and because I live in London I am paying £1100 nicker.. so these people that are paying only £800 etc are damn lucky .... mind you it doesnt help having the body kit and the wheels etc as now the car (in the insurers eyes) is high risk and nickable...
