from aem v2 to mugen air box

hey
i got a second hand mugen air box. but when i went to fit it the bolt that screws into the gear box is very hard to line up and doesn't go down all the way. does anybody no why this is and how to fix???

did you buy the right one for your car?

ie ctr, prefacelift dc5 or facelift dc5?

Mike, I'm pretty sure the box is the same for all of them, only the scoop changes. My DC5 box dropped straight onto my friend's EP3.

I suspect the rod might be bent, or something is out of line. Mine required a bit of wiggling, but nothing major.

i got it off boosted imports off this forum and he has a pre-facelift and came off his car, so presume its the right one.

just thinking of the way the v2 was in the engine bay i think u could be right.

Have you remembered to re-use the rubbers off the standard airbox? These are removed form the std one and fitted to the Mugen airbox. :idea:

they were still on the air box when they arrived, if they weren't i prob would of put the box in without them :lol:
