Yeah just spoken to a mate who has his dc5, but lives london way and I mentioned them and he's jealous lol. Apparently never heard a bad thing about themollydc5 said:No problem mate, best local I've found by far
+1 for Area. Never used the garage however Rob has spent a lot of time on the phone to me about suspension setups and also with my garage (TGM) helping Tom out with parts etc. Top bloke and I've never heard a bad thing about the garage side of life.I'd also highly recommend Area Motorsport, Rob is now based in Uttoxeter. I'm also from Shropshire (Telford) and it's only 40 miles from me
Ah okay fairly local to me then! Do you know a ball park figure for /hr of labour.and also a full service with all oils changed? Probably one of the first things I'll do when purchasing itIndi said:I'd also highly recommend Area Motorsport, Rob is now based in Uttoxeter. From top of my head his Hourly rate is £55 P/H. I'm not sure on a price for fluids as I do it myself on my carAh okay fairly local to me then! Do you know a ball park figure for /hr of labour.and also a full service with all oils changed? Probably one of the first things I'll do when purchasing it

Oh okay that's good to know. I always drive past there as I work doors on a night in shrewsbury so will bare that in mind.Filkmeister said:All good advice - don't discount J T Hughes though (main dealers in Shrewsbury). They have some competent mechanics there and people into DC2s, EK9s etc. There is even a chap on their staff from Whitchurch who has an NSX(!) For routine servicing i.e. non-specialist work including MOT etc. I have taken my DC2, EK and DC5s there for over 10 years. Fair pricing and good customer service.
HTH.
