Gear Stick Gaitor

Hi guys,

I have a question about gear sticks/levers, shafts and knobs... apologies in advance for how dirty this post will probably sound!

The gaitor on my gear stick just rests at the bottom of the stick. Is this normal? All other cars I have seen, the gaitor comes up to meet the knob, and stay there.

What am I missing?

I usually sits a couple cm's below the knob, especially if you have a particularly long one,

All i can think right now is how much that gap in the panel is annoying me!

No clip should just stay up. Could be a bad picture but your know looks a little bent.

Could be an aftermarket shifter, oem has 2 tabs either side to hold the gaiter up

No that‘s where the gaiter sits, the metal black part at the top of the gaiter
