I have just swapped my HID's to normal halogen bulbs

I found that the H7 bulbs were a better fit than the H4's ( had to snip a bit off ) to make them fit.

I then taken my car to a friends garage, to check that they alligned correctly.

Does anyone find that you lose the pattern of the headlight beam, or have a poor patern...?

have you used the standard housing and just replaced the bulbs?
might be why if that particular one was designed for hids

The housing was standard, I just made the bulbs fit as good and flush as poosible.
Could be just paranoid as im not looking forward to this esva test..

do you plan on putting the hids back in after the test?

obviously there are two sets of headlights for the dc5, the hids one and the standard one, i just wonder whether the units have different internals depending on which goes in?

i think this is quite normal, you should still see the clear top edge of the 'beam' against a wall though,

The holes you insert the bulbs into are larger for the HID's
