Hi

I want to get rid of the metal pipe work next to the cam cover on the right side. The pipe work seems to be just air going through it. One for the brake booster going from the inlet. The other goes from the throttle body but looks like it goes to a fuel line??! This last one has what looks like a filter in it. Can I just rip these out and put two hard pipes in? If so, what size will I need and where to get them from?

Thanks

Adam

One is the brake booster and the other is for the EVAP system from the fuel tank (the one with the little canister on it before it gets to the throttle body).

Both can easily replaced with running vacuum grade hoses quite cheaply.

However, that piece of metal from memory is a bit more involved than "just bolted to the side of the engine". I'm sure the engine loom is attached through it via the plastic cable guides and there might be more brackets on it but I can't be quite sure.
