How important is rear anti roll bar alignment?

I have recently changed a few bits on the rear suspension setup, and for ease of access I removed the rear ARB.
When the ARB was off I noticed the drop links weren’t in the best condition. So I replaced them with genuine Honda items including locking and flange nuts.
I have tried to line up the drop links in the centre position, and used a jack to load up the suspension on each side. But I still can’t get them straight.
My car is lowered, does this effect it?
Any help will be appreciated

How did you get on in the end? I did same mission over a year ago and seems to have been fine. handling is great and no mention at MOT etc
