and i also have another question. i would like to drive the car from UK to Germany, are there export license plates available in the uk or should i take the normal uk plates? might be an insurance issue!?!
With regards to export, you buy a DC5 and drive it accross insuring the car on the chassis number, the insurance company will probably have to do a Type 9999 qoute as the car does not exist on German insurance databases. You tell DVLA that the car has been exported using the tear off part of the V5 registration document and then you register the car with your local Stadt once you have Tuv.
