Hi, just joined.

Been looking for a DC05 for a wee while now, went to Dicksons of Dunblane on saturday and found the sales manager very very rude.

I told him what I wanted and he told me he would rather just sell one of the cars he had, wasnt interested in what I had to say.

I asked if i could test drive a car to see if I liked it and he said only if you buy one today, but as Id already told him he didnt have one that I wanted he refused me a test drive.

I certainly wasnt going to buy a car I hadnt driven, then I asked if he could import 1 to the spec i required, again I was told Id rather sell 1 i have and if i wanted 1 then i would have to give him 10k deposit for a car I have never seen or driven!

How annoyed was I!!!

However I still plan on purchasing a DC05 just not from him.

i have heard this from a few folk although one of my mate bought a dc5 from them and is pleased with it, just your luck i suppose , i have also noticed that they price there cars very high indeed

just my tuppence anyhow

good luck with the search, you wont be disapointed

mine was for sale but due to some unforseen circumstance i have had to delay the sale for a few weeks

maybe if you are still looking at that time it may interest you !

Yeah he isn't the friendliest of people IMHO

When I was getting my second one I used Steve @ avantimotorcompany.com
(remove the spaces for his email.)

can't fault his service at all. Everything went smoothly, got a full service history from Japan, was to my spec, etc and he is based in Edinburgh so not far away.

When the car arrived it matched the auction sheet perfect and was in Mint condition. The only thing that happened was that somebody on the boat or at the dock nicked my starter button but this was one of those things.

Can get a 2006 from Toque imports for 18,300 good price?

Will certainly try the guy in Edinburgh, thanks for your help guys!

They are not very helpful unless you know what you are looking for and if they have one that you want.

I bought mine on saturday, the white 05 in the showroom.

Yeah it was the most mint one they had, although the black one was really nice aswell but was too basic for me.

No, never bothered taking it out, went out in the demo, but when I go to pick it up I will drive it before handing the money over.

I also thought the guy was a bit rude to say the least. He was no help what so ever and i found myself asking hi9m the questions rather than him telling me what the car was all about. So i didnt think he knew much about them etc.
I wouldnt like to buy one from them now, if thats how they btreat new potential customers whats there aftersales gonna be like!!! especially when your buying a 14k+ car, i would expect better

Theres been a lot of negative comments about Dicksons, they must not look at this website for feedback, judging by the remarks they probably don't give a toss anyway.

I wish their ad on this site was removed!
