Does changing the pipe to a alloy one (from the standard rubber one, keeping the OEM airbox) change the noise ? Or is that only affected depending on the airbox, open cone etc??

Wont make no difference what so ever

I had an ARC metal intake pipe fitted to an OEM airbox on my last teg, and as I said previously you notice no difference at all.

Yes the difference will be the fact its an open cone and not just a change of material. As stated, pipe alone will make zero difference other than looks....and that would look strange against OEM j would have thought.
