Induction pipes

My DC5 is due in February so collecting parts, so far I've got my LED bulbs, headunit & service kit - next is to look at an induction lot for good crossover porn... What pipes are people using? Don't fancy paying £200+ for K&N/spoon etc etc when in reality the pipe has cost pennies to make...

Input on this is appreciated (I'm assuming the OEM rubber ones won't fit a bolt on filter? I'm looking at a piper cross job as I've always used them... Did think of just a panel filter with drilled air box, but that's abit 2004? Lol

Sorry - this is his brother, Aaron.... Starting an import business (will register and donate properly etc when it happens... For now I'm just an enthusiastic owner) but needing a second car to use as the Impreza is a dirty thirsty bitch! HAHA

I just bought a Blox velocity stack filter with 3"-3.5" reducer for about £50? Sounds amazing, bum dyno feels better, over the stock airbox with mugen drop in filter/hondata mod.
