Interior Light / Alarm issues

Hi guys, I have done a search and it seems my fault has not come up yet.

Help is greatly appreciated.


- Interior light does not turn off when I lock the car.
- It does turn off when I turn engine on.
- Engine on, both doors will switch the interior light on.


If I manually turn the light off, or leave it on (doesn't matter)... I then lock the car, unlock then lock again (with out opening doors) the alarm will make a constant beep noise and not stop. - When before it only used to beep for half a second.


Any ideas? Or will I have to get a techy in?

I had a similar light issue.

My issue was a loose wire behind the dash

im sure as above it will be an alarm related wiring issue, alarms are all afermarket and sadly not very often well fitted, they seem to last a few years then start giving issues from a badly joined wire etc.
most alarms will be using a trigger from a door or interior light, find this connection and make sure its good
