for me to get insured on a DC5, they are awesome, but, i am only 19.

I am in a well paid job andcould afford to pay a lot to insure it.

I would insure it in my mums name, but with me as the main driver, so i get her ncb, but i am legally covered still.

Any ideas?

it may work in your mum's name but can quite safely say you have no chance in your own. I struggled to find someone to insure me and im 24 with full NCD and no points.

If you can im selling my DC5 soon.....

Nice one for replying mate. I want a DC5 sooooo bad, but turn 19 in October. So can't really buy one until then. How much do you expect insurance to set me back in my mums name?

i wasnt going to be selling mine until abotu then anyway so may fall in nicely for you.... Im off to the US at the beginning of September to sort a pickup out, then was gonna get back and stick it up for sale....

Wouldn't have an idea about insurance, but i doubt it will be below a grand. All depends where you live, your mums driving history etc...

i was expecting along the lines of 2500-3000! If i got it for a grand, i wouldnt think twice!

Do you reckon i would definatly insure it for £3,000?

We both have clean licences
